We're a Nebraska family who put down roots in Littleton, Colorado almost ten years ago. What started as a move has become a permanent home — we've raised our family here, built relationships in this community, and grown to love the Denver metro area as much as the place we came from.
Two of our own children live with special needs, and that experience shapes everything about how we approach this work. We know the early mornings, the therapy appointments, the paperwork, the waiver applications, and the small victories that mean everything. We've sat on both sides of the table — as a family in need of support, and now as a provider of it.
That's why Family First Protection Services isn't just a name. Our own children are part of why we do this, and why we care so deeply about getting it right for every family and every caregiver we work with.
We also know that caregiving isn't a one-way relationship. The people who show up to provide care carry their own weight, too — the long days, the emotional toll, the responsibility of caring for someone else's family as if it were their own. And caring for your own family wears on you too — a lot of the families we work with are also caring for their own children, or for aging parents and other older adults, on top of everything else. We see that, we respect it, and we try to support our care team the same way we support the families we serve.
We'd genuinely love to hear about your experience — the challenges, the wins, what's worked for your family and what hasn't. Conversations like that are part of how we keep getting better at this.
